70020 Love & Be Loved Flat LayJan 28, 2025 – With Valentine’s Day coming right up, it feels good to say, “Love always finds a way!”

You see, a few years ago, Cardthartic had to finally concede that not enough people purchased our Valentines to warrant continuing to make them. From a pure business standpoint, “The juice was just not worth the squeeze,” if you know what we mean. Yet you can imagine how disheartening it felt to give up on the whole category!

Fast forward to this past weekend, my dear friend Ana sent me a copy of a Cardthartic sales receipt in her text that read, “Look what I found! I think my sweet hubby is getting ready for Valentine’s Day! Now I can’t wait for Feb 14 as I’m super curious what card Lars chose for me.” Ha! When I inquired as to how she came to spot a receipt for a purchase she did not make, Ana said, “Oh, it jumped out at me on its way to the family’s financial paper shredder. I do know that Cardthartic logo pretty well!”

I told her how happy I was that her good man had been unfazed by finding no “Valentines” per se on our site, and had persevered to see all the Love cards we carry! Acknowledging that there are so many different kinds of love, Ana said she’s ordering a couple of cards for the kids and others for gal pals, which gives me hope that maybe more Cardies will be like Ana and Lars and determine that they don’t need the traditional frilly hearts and lacy pop-up designs at all, and that they’re perfectly capable of writing their own “Happy Valentine’s Day!” in a simply lovely Love card. Cool!

I’ve warned Ana and her precocious daughter Michaela, too, to NOT open today’s CNews!!! So, just between us, up above is the card Lars will give to the gracious and beautiful love of his life. Love always finds a way!
