Nov 19, 2024 — Not a day goes by that I don’t feel my late mother nudging, “Gotta laugh more, Jo!” Can you hear her, too?! 😆 She’d say, “We’ve got to put our hearts into making life more fun!”
About now, Cardthartic’s little Creative team is dog-tired from creating Big Book 2025. The 40 new designs in it have already gone to the printer 👏🏼 for release around New Year’s and we’re now hunkered down adding stories about the Cardie Community and card making. Just as you may be feeling stressed in your own life — and supporting friends and family with the challenges they face, too — we’re feeling the deadline pressure big time. And we need to blow off some steam!
Haha, last evening, an equally anxious friend of Creative Coordinator Bianca asked her, “Want to go somewhere with me and scream … and we can get a bite after?” 🤣 So because this is, after all, a Cardie Community, we thought let’s invite fellow members who have a favorite joke to tell it here!
Keep it clean, of course, and let’s all aim for the big belly-laughs. I’m happy to start, with all due respect to blondes!
“One night, the blonde and her husband could not sleep because of the incessant barking of the next-door neighbor’s dog. On and on the barking went while the couple complained about their inconsiderate neighbors until the blonde could stand it no longer. Telling her husband she was ‘Going to take care of this!’ off she went.
“The barking stopped for a bit while the blonde was out, but started right up again — even louder than before — when she crawled back into bed. Her husband asked, ‘What happened? I thought you were going to fix it?’ To which she said, ‘I did! I brought their dog over to our yard … now let’s just see how the neighbors like it!’”
Your turn!!! Thanks for prompting some smiles today.

happened in small town
myrtle goes into the pharmacy,
says to the pharmacist, “i need to
purchase some arsenic.”
to which the pharmacist says,
“i can’t sell you arsenic, myrtle,
and why on earth do you need arsenic ?”
myrtle replies, “i am going to poison my
husband.”
pharmacist askes, “why would want to
poison clyde ?”
myrtle says “he is having an
affair.”
pharmacist replies, “i find that hard to
believe, he adores you, myrtle.”
myrtle opens her handbag, says “i have
proof” and pulls out a photograph, shows
it to the pharmacist, who recognizes
woman in the photograph as his wife, and says
“well, myrtle, why didn’t you say you had a prescription ?”
My youngest brother told me this joke so I figure it is okay to pass it on since it came from a man.
A young boy was playing with himself while his mother gave him a bath. He asked his mom: Are these my brains? Her response: Not yet.
Loved the joke, Jodee! And I can laugh hard because I’m a blonde by bottle only! 😆 I can’t wait to hear more jokes from the Cardies! (Judy’s joke is hilarious!)
May you and your team feel restored and renewed in quick order!
This is a true life story rather than a joke. I went to a doctor appointment and was exactly on time. There were no cars in the parking lot. I went upstairs and the receptionist said your appointment is in our office in the other town, not here. I said well I’m going to be really late and she said I’ll call them as you are heading over. When I got there I apologized profusely while the receptionist was chuckling. She said, no worries, the doctor also went to that other office and you beat her here!
A blonde woman was speeding down the road in her little red sports car and was pulled over by a female police officer who was also blonde.
The blonde cop asked to see the blonde’s driver’s license. The driver dug through her purse and was getting noticeably more and more agitated. Finally she asked, “What does it look like?”
The blonde policewoman replied, “Well, it’s square and it has your picture on it.”
Still digging in the contents of her purse, the blonde driver finally found a square mirror. She looked at it and then handed it to the policewomen. “Here it is!” she said.
The blonde officer looked at the mirror and then handed it back to her saying, “Sorry, you can go-I didn’t realize you were a cop.”
